This 4-day trekking Geo Adventure will take you along 24 km of the most beautiful and prestine mountain landscape in central Spain. Hike while discovering the geological history and glacial geomorphological processes that sculpted the Sierra de Gredos. Sleep in a mountain hut while enjoying the beauty of being surrounded by majestic cliffs carved by glaciers over thousands of years and from where you can see the stars like nowhere else.

In this activity you will:

• Learn how mountains are formed;

• Discover how glaciers carve the landscapes;

• Discover the difference between river and glacier erosion;

• Learn basic mountain safety techniques;

• Hike in a mountain environment;

• Sleep in a mountain hut;

• Discover the Laguna Grande de Gredos and how it was formed;

• Discover the Cinco Lagunas de Gredos and how they were formed;

• Observe the fauna (including wild goats) and flora of Gredos;

• Taste the local cuisine.

Departure and arrival location: Lisbon (Campo Grande)

• Transportation: Round trip from Lisbon

• Meals: Breakfast, light lunch and dinner.

• Accommodation: hostel (1 night in a single room) and mountain hut (2 nights in a dormitory).

• Activity introduction and safety briefing

• Introduction to the geology of Sierra de Gredos

• Dinner at Hoyos del Espiño.

• Plataforma de Gredos - Refugio Laguna Grande de Gredos Hike (4-5h)

• Geology and Geomorphology of the Circo de Gredos.

  (Dinner and overnight in a mountain hut - dormitories)

Day 3:

• Refugio de La Laguna Grande de Gredos - Cinco Lagunas de Gredos - Refugio de La Laguna Grande de Gredos Hike (5-6h)

• Geomorphology of the Five Lagoons of Gredos.

  (Dinner and overnight in a mountain refuge - dormitories)

Day 4:

• Refugio de La Laguna Grande de Gredos - Pico Morezon - Plataforma de Gredos (4-5h)

• Mountain Geomorphology

• Lunch at Hoyos de Espiño
